Open knot and defect are not permitted. 5 to 10 light and dark knots on the surface are permitted.

D Grade

Open knot and defect are not permitted. 10 to 20 light and dark knots on the surface are permitted.

E Grade

Open knot and defect are permitted. Open knotholes filled.
